About Lessons:

I offer lessons for all ages (children and adults). Weekly piano lessons are 30 or 45 minutes each. Tuition is $100-150 per month, plus a $50 annual registration fee. When you sign up for lessons, you are commiting to the entire school year. Lesson times are available from early to late afternoon.

Teaching Statement:

My goal is to teach students how to play the piano, as well as develop musicianship, an appreciation of music and the ability to perform. This is accomplished by presenting lessons in a fun and unique manner for each student. Learning to play the piano requires a daily commitment at home from the student, but it is my desire to turn that hard work into a fun and positive experience for the student.

I began taking piano lessons at age 7, but I was brought up in a musical household from birth. My mom tells me that I would wake up from my naps singing rather than crying or fussing. In 2002, I graduated Summa Cum Laude and with Honors in Music from Messiah College (Bachelor of Arts in Music, with a concentration in Church Music). I began teaching in 1997 and am privileged to have taught over 150 students. Over the years, I have enjoyed accompanying school and church choirs, as well as solo instrumentalists and vocalists. I also enjoy playing on occasion for weddings and solo performance opportunities. I'm highly involved at my church, West Shore Evangelical Free Church in Mechanicsburg, PA, where I volunteer as a pianist and vocalist for the worship team. I have a passion for composing and arranging piano music, and I am a published composer with Piano Pronto. Music is a part of my life every day of the week, and I couldn't imagine my life without it!

Piano Policy:

When you contact me for lessons, I will send my Piano Policy. This will give you all the "nuts and bolts" of how I run my studio. When you register for lessons, you are agreeing to these studio policies.
